Hi! My name is Chiara, and I'm a 23-year-old student at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, where I've been studying for the past three years. I'm currently wrapping up my bachelor’s degree, and while I’m excited about the next steps in my journey, I miss home - and more importantly, I miss my cat.

I’m originally from Rome, Italy, and back home, I have a wonderful senior cat named Oscar. He’s 12 years old now, and while he’s slowed down a bit with age, he was a ball of energy when he was younger. Thanks to him, I’ve learned how to interact with both calm, cuddly cats and high-energy, playful ones. Oscar has taught me patience, understanding, and how to read all the subtle signs of a cat’s mood.

Becoming a cat sitter here in Amsterdam is more than just a job for me - it’s a way to stay connected to the love I have for cats and fill the Oscar-shaped hole in my heart while I'm away from home. I already have experience as a cat sitter, I have been taking care of a friend's cat for almost two years back in Italy!
