Cat lady looking for Cat kisses!!!

Hello everybody :)

My name is Julie, I‘m 25 years old and I‘m from Austria. I moved to Amsterdam in August 2022 to pursue my MA in Curating Art and Cultures. Art is my main passion and hobby in life - I love art(history), museums, reading art books, going to Symposia, painting, drawing and photography. I‘m currently rounding up my studies by writing my thesis. My other „passion“ is about cats - I‘m an absolute lover of cats, they are the most interesting and cute creatures existing! Unfortunately I‘m not in the place right now to become a cat mom myself (although I look forward to it A LOT) - therefore I thought cat sitting would be an awesome opportunity to be in the holy precence of cats and hopefully get some cuddles!

In Austria, my family and I had 4 cats - Kitty, Charly, Kimmy and Johnny (I miss them dearly). I grew up loving cats and convinced my family to get one! Since I have been living with cats since I was around 12 years old, I‘m of course aware of the basic needs of cats, can sense their moods, and understand that cats have different personalities that require different attention.

Here in Amsterdam, I have cat-sitterd twice, as I was referred personally to friends of friends due to my vocal love for cats. In both cases, I visited the cat at their home, made sure all basic needs are fulfilled (food, drink, litter box, playing, brushing and lots of cuddles - the two latter if the cat allows). For Gary, my first cat-sitting job, I visited him once or twice a day, updating the owner daily with pictures. The owner was really happy and surprised that Gary immediately opened up to me and required cuddles! The second Job was for Nala, a beautiful cat with „special needs“. In addition to fulfilling her basic needs, I also medicated her orally as she has issues with digestion.

I would love to have some cat-sitting job in the following months. Last but not least - I‘m an honest, fun, reliable, respectful, loving and trustworthy person. I like open communication and would appreciate to be informed with all necessary (and maybe not so nice) infos in advance. I‘m taking this opportunity very serious, and hope you do too! :)

As already mentioned before, I will make sure the cat‘s needs are fulfilled. That includes of course:

• food & treats
• fresh water
• clean litter box
• playing
• brushing if allowed
• cuddles
• medication if needed

I would like to make sure the cat receives enough attention during the visit, meaning I would not only come to refill food and water, but to actually spend time with the pet(s) and make sure they don‘t feel lonely - if you also want this of course! I‘ll make sure to take daily pictures/videos for you of your pet and give you a short update. Of course, in case of emergency or questions, I will contact you immediately. I‘m open to cats with „special needs“ and I can medicate them after an instruction by you. Depending on the extent of extra-care, I would allow myself to charge a little bit more, in agreement naturally.
