Hi! I'm Özlem and I've been living in Groningen over 2 years now. After having completed my PhD studies in architecture last year, I'm currently searching for the right opportunity. In my free time I like reading poetry and short fiction. I am married with no kids. I love cats but I am not in a position to commit myself fully to adopt one, so I thought it would be lovely to take care of cats through this platform. It is a win-win situation for everyone, I get to love your cat and be happy, you get to make sure that your cat is well-fed and taken care of!

I had a cat with my housemate for 2 years. That's why I know how to take care of cats both physically and emotionally. Cats may need different things at times, a loving cuddle, giving space, brushing them or just playing with them! Some love their toys, but most love to play with ordinary items such as hair-bands, cargo boxes or some scarf. I quickly sense the cat's needs and attune to them. Our cat was sick at times due to his stomach problems and we had to administer medicines regularly for a few weeks. We used a cat-walking vest once a week to make sure our cat was not too stressed indoors during Covid lockdowns (it was used to live outside and come home by himself). If you have this kind of a requirement, I can walk your cat with a similar vest too. I can continue with your medicine regimen if required. I get along with most cats but if there is some unmatched energy we can try and see how it goes at our initial meeting. I can send pictures or videos of your cat to make sure that you feel at ease.
