Nanny service for your furry friend in Haarlem

I am a proud cat mum of a mooi black cat called Midnight (see my profile pic), she is now 14 years old with no health problems bar a slightly over-active thryoid which is normal in her old age. I have watched her grow from a little excited kitten full of energy to a sleepy gentle old lady, so I'm used to finding dead mice, cleaning up cat sick and changing the cat litter and reading her behaviour. And of course becoming a cat seat when they decide to fall asleep in your lap. Since moving to NL, I miss her a lot as she currently lives at my family home in the UK. I very much miss giving all my attention to her and having a cat around.

I understand all cats are different with their own quirks and personalities and you have to wait for them to warm up to you. I would never pick up a cat if it did not want that. I have looked after quite a few cats now that are different to my own and I know how important it is to let them come to you. My priority is always making them feel safe and relaxed. As they all have their own unique needs. I also currently work remote so I have a lot of flexibility to do multiple visits etc.

I am an excellent cuddle giver, treat giver (only if they are allowed treats of course!), and entertainer with a lot of patience as I've learnt many games to keeps cats entertained which is essential with indoor cats I find. I know how to pick cats up without grabbing them like a child, they are the boss after all! I am always on the look out for any signs of distress, anxiety or unusual behaviour in your furry friend and used to checking for any cuts, bites or lumps or over-scratching/licking which can be down to ill health. I am ready to pick up cat sick, change the litter, comb their fur if needed, and switch out the food and water regularly. I am also happy to walk your cat on a harness if you so wish.

In addition, I will provide you with lots of adorable pictures of your furry friends and regular updates as I know it can be hard to be away from them! I also understand how strange it must be to have someone in your home whilst you are away so I am of course very respectful and will keep the place clean.

Lastly, although I can make exceptions, my preference is towards looking after outdoor cats vs indoor only cats as I know how much mental stimulation cats require and I worry even with two visits a day that may not be enough for the cat’s mental health as cats can so easily become distressed or depressed just like you or me.
