Kattenoppasser in Koog aan de Zaan

Hi, I'm Aesha and after having graduated from my bachelor's degree in Psychobiology, I am now pursuing a master’s in Leiden in global philosophy. The behaviour and well-being of both humans and animals and the connection between them has always interested me greatly!

As I am a student, catsitting and dog walking is a nice way to get around by doing something that is dear to me: being with animals and taking care of them. I myself have always grown up with animals, both dogs and cats and even rabbits and turtles when I was younger :). As of now in my family home we have two lovely cats Loki and Joba, as well as our senior 11 year old dog, a beagle named Simba.

Besides being a dog and cat owner, I worked for a year in 2021/2022 at a dog and cat shelter as a volunteer where I played and cuddled with them, cleaned, and fed them. Here I encountered all kinds and personalities of dogs and cats; some more difficult and fearful dogs and cats stayed there too but I was able to build a trusting bond with them which I am grateful for. Kittens litters often stayed there too. So there is no pet out there too crazy for me!

I could provide anything from cuddling and playing with them to providing them with food and water or simply looking out for them if your cat prefers to do its own thing! I can easily keep myself occupied reading a book if the cat resting but wants some company.
