Cat sitting Leiden & surrounds

I am a 35-year-old South African who relocated to the Netherlands. I currently live in Leiden where I work as a nanny and live with my husband and three cats.

My father mainly trained dogs for the police, but also took in all kinds of neglected animals, from bunnies, to peacocks to monkeys. I grew up with a huge ginger cat (Genie AKA Kieter), and as an adult I adopted Gypsy the moment I had a pet-friendly place. Benji our bengal joined the family when I got married. Similarly, in the Netherlands we have adopted our cats, who have been such a pleasure to get to know.

I am familiar with all tasks regarding cats such as feeding, grooming/brushing, playing, nail clipping, cleaning their litter boxes, etc. I am also comfortable to administer medicine if needed.

I am very happy to take my cues from the pet, regarding if they want to be petted, play, eat, etc. I understand certain pets are slower to warm up and others are comfortable from the get go. I'll gladly listen to your requests and suggestions regarding your pet's needs and take it from there.

I am available to come to your home in the mornings, lunch time and/or late afternoons. I can stay for up to 2 hours at a time and I am happy to feed, groom, play with and take your pets outside. I can also water plants, collect mail and complete other ad hoc tasks you may have related to the household and pets.
