Experienced Catsitter

Hello! I am Carissa. I am originally from the USA and have been living in the Netherlands for a year and a half. Ik spreek een beetje Nederlands.

I have been pet sitting since I was in elementary school. I have always had cats in my life, as well as dogs of all sizes (from a Chihuahua, to a Collie). My mom is a veterinarian so I know a thing or two about caring for animals. I also worked in her clinic for a bit, so I’m good at handling pets, bottle feeding, administering pills and shots, and noticing when something is wrong.

I have one cat currently, who is 18 years old, that I rescued as a kitten. He has chronic kidney disease, so I give him pills and subcutaneous fluids daily. I also used to volunteer at a feral cat shelter in Los Angeles. I am great at managing even the most stressed and aggressive cats, these don’t scare me at all.

I listen to your cat and what it needs. If she wants to play the entire visit, I am happy to do that. If she wants to sit and hide, I will sit nearby and be a calming presence.

I can administer pills, shots, and sub-q fluids as needed.
