Meow! Kattenoppas / Catsitter in Amsterdam

Hi! Ik ben Tara, 38 jaar en woon in Amsterdam Oud-West.

Sinds jongs af aan ben ik helemaal gek van katten. Tot een paar jaar geleden heb ik ook altijd een of meerdere katten gehad. Zo waren er bijvoorbeeld Kitty en Ploeter, broer en zus die vanaf mijn 7e bij me waren. Of Mini, die extra aandacht behoefte vanwege zijn diabetes.

Deze lieverds zijn allemaal 20+ geworden. Het recept: goede zorgen en heel heel heeeeeel veel liefde!

Op dit moment heb ik zelf geen harig monster. Maar ik mis het enorm! Dus toen kwam ik op het idee om als kattenoppas aan de slag te gaan :-) Ik doe dit nu al 4 jaar met veel plezier.

Daarnaast ben ik nog vrijwilliger (geweest) bij de Stichting Amsterdamse Zwerfkatten en de DierenAmbulance en heb ik de opleiding tot dierenartsassistente afgerond. Aan ervaring dus geen gebrek!

Ik ben er natuurlijk voor de kat, maar zorg ook met alle liefde voor de planten en andere zaken indien nodig.

Hi! My name is Tara, I'm 38 and I live in Amsterdam Oud-West.

Since I was young I am crazy in love with cats. Until a few years ago, I always had one or more cats myself. Like for example catsiblings Kitty and Ploeter, who were with me since I was 7 years old. Or Mini, who needed some extra attention because of his diabetes.

These cuties all became 20+ years old. The recipe: taking good care and lots and loooots of love!

Unfortunately I don't have a hairy monster of my own at the time. But I miss it so much! That's why I started to become a catsitter :-) I'm doing this for 4 years now and I really enjoy it.

Apart from catsitting I am (or was) a volunteer at the Stichting Amsterdamse Zwerfkatten (Straycat Foundation) and the DierenAmbulance (Animal Ambulance Amsterdam) and I completed the course to become a veterinary assistant.

    Easy going professional catsitster. She helped us out lastminute and stayed the night with our cat Charlie. Both Charlie and the house were in good hands. Would book again!

    Dankzij Tara hebben we een heel ontspannen vakantie gehad. Ze gaf gehoor aan onze wensen en we ontvingen leuke foto’s en filmpjes. Bij thuiskomst troffen we twee relaxte en gelukkige katten aan. Bij een volgende vakantie vragen we Tara zeker opnieuw!

    Bengals are notorious for being a handful and I was nervous about finding someone with the patience to endure the energy spurts but Tara was great with my Bengal girl! She took the time to ask a lot of questions about my girl's habits. I also appreciated it that she regularly updated me on how things were at home. I can highly recommend Tara.

    Tara is a lovely cat sitter, very kind and gentle. She took her time to gain the trust of my cats, which paid off since they loved to be around her and were happy and affectionate when I came home. She even made sure the house was clean for my arrival. Happy to have found a responsible and sweet cat sitter in the center of Amsterdam :)

    Tara was excellent! Very friendly and professional, asking all the right questions when we met to make sure she knew everything she needed to know to take good care of our cats while we were away. Our two cats liked her immediately, even the one that is normally quite shy and doesn't let people stroke him. She is clearly a cat-person, and would gladly trust her to look after our cats again. Much recommended!

    Wederom super blij met de hulp van Tara. Ze heeft 2x per dag voor onze katten gezorgd tijdens een vakantie. Wij kwamen thuis in een net huis met 2 blije en goed verzorgde katten. Ook geeft Tara af en toe een update (met foto's) en denkt ze met je mee. Bij een volgende vakantie weten we haar weer te vinden.

    Tara heeft tijdens onze vakantie op onze 2 katten gepast. De kennismaking verliep goed, ze stelde goede vragen en heeft alle 'eisen' van de katten genoteerd. Ook kregen wij tussentijds updates over de katten en het huis, wat erg prettig was. Wij zullen Tara zeker opnieuw boeken als we weggaan!
