Hello,

I have always been a huge animal lover. I grew up with dogs and cats and we have even had little kittens. I enjoy spending time with pets and I'm quite happy to say that they usually seek my company as well, even if it's a first encounter. :)

Currently, I have a ragdoll cat called Kashu.

We live in Bezuidenhout in The Hague close by Den Haag Centraal and Laan van NOI stations.

I work as a designer and programme manager. I'm also a salsa instructor and performer. This allows me to have a more flexible schedule which gives me the opportunity to help and be a sitter for others.

As a person, I'm very caring and I like to pay attention to details. Due to my design background, I'm also quite into researching and sometimes even making up cat solutions. This helps me to be well prepared and also to act adequately in times of need.

Defining my cat skills can sound a bit funny, but I value a lot the way a person approaches a new animal. I study their behavior and reactions in order to build a trusting relationship. For bigger cats like mine, I have also researched the best way to pick them up so that they feel comfortable.

Kashu is always by my side for either a nap or for playing time. Every cat has it's own character and preferences but most enjoy a good fishrod toy or some rubs under the chin.

Additionally, my Ragdoll cat gave me experience with grooming and nail clipping.

I have also practiced leash training and taking her out for adventures. So if your cat is an explorer, I can ensure it gets a safe walk.

My training of cats has been quite successful so far so if you need assistance with that, feel free to reach out even without the need to catsit.

And of course, the most basic needs are the most important ones: I have no problem with cleaning litter boxes. I have experience mainly with clumping litters.

I am familiar with the approximate amount of food needed during different stages of the cats' life but I will follow strictly your pet's routine. I find drinking enough water very important for cats, so I always make sure to provide a fresh water opportunity for them.

I have experience with giving deworming medication, anti-hairball paste and even oral painkillers.

If your cat has any other specific needs, I'd be ready to inform and prepare myself in advance.
