Cat sitter in 54B

Hello! My name is Olga, I am 26 years old and I am from Greece. I moved to Maastricht in May 2024 to work at the forensic institute. I have a cat back in Greece called Nina (also in my profile picture) and I had to leave her with my parents as the housing I could find here didn’t allow pets. Moreover I don’t think it would be good for her anyway since she’s diabetic and her medication (injections twice a day) have to be administered strictly at certain times. She is happy and healthy and enjoys the house she grew up in, both inside and in the garden. I do miss cat interactions though as I feel like I connect with them and petting my neighboring cats is not enough anymore haha. Therefore after hearing about multiple pet sitting experiences from friends here I decided to actively do it as well.

As I mentioned before I have experience with cats (and dogs) from my own pets since I was really young. My cat is diabetic so I have learned how to administer injections (although it is something I would like to avoid on someone else’s cat), general medication like pills for ticks etc. and ampules. Due to diabetes she has a specific diet as her weight has to be moderated. My cat lives both inside and outside the house so she needs extra care to ensure she is protected and healthy. Moreover, she is a very affectionate cat so I really enjoy their company and playing with them. She was not always like that, when she was younger she really didn’t want anything to do with us but that changed as she has grown and now she can’t leave us alone haha. Therefore I have learned how to give space and adjust to each animal’s personality as I do not want to make any animal uncomfortable.
